The government has declared Santa day the 24 of December a Public holiday. The day after the election should be a free day since the government wants the people working in Bangkok but living elsewhere to be able to go home to their provinces and vote.
The central bank of Thailand will make it possible for the commercial banks to close all commercial banks on that day. Banks also will close on Dec 31 and Jan 1 as usual.
