Ex senator in Thailand got 36 years in Jail
Chalerm Promlert age 71 has little changes to get out of prison before he dies. The Supreme court of Thailand was not impressed with the 20 years he had already got but added another 16 years because he was a Senate and should be an example.
The crime was committed 2000 when he had sex with girls under the age of 15. In Thailand that is consider as rape.
It is very unusual that this high profile people are put to justice in Thailand. Most of the time the victim dies for some strange reason or they get money to not to continue pushing the case.
