Smoking is banned in all air conditioned areas in Thailand

New information for all tourists who would like to come to Thailand and for some Local Thai people who might not know about this new law yet. The new Thai law says that the smoking will be banned in all air-conditioned entertainment areas which mean all those non-smoking areas include the night clubs in them as well.

From now on, the party goers will not be able to smoke; if they want to smoke they have to go outside the club. The government also claimed that they believe that there might be some club owners don’t agree with this law because it can reduce the number of the customers but the government claimed that they are ready to discuss more on it if there are someone against this law.

This new law has been imposed since February, 17 2008. For who is breaking this law will be fined 2,000 baht.
